How it works
What is the CAC Calculator?
CAC is how much you spend to acquire one new paying customer. Pair it with LTV to understand whether your growth is profitable.
Formula
CAC = Total Acquisition Spend Γ· New Customers Acquired
Sum marketing and sales costs for a period, divide by new customers in that period.
Worked example
Inputs: $15,000 spend Β· 50 new customers
- CAC = $15,000 / 50 = $300
CAC = $300 per customer
Benefits & benchmarks
- CAC payback under 12 months is common for efficient SaaS
- Compare CAC to LTV for unit economics health
